Photographing and capturing a moment to keep forever is a passion of mine. I truly enjoy photography as it is meditating for me and is a meaningful purpose in my life. It is a no brainer, when you see my photos, that children are my favorite subjects. However, my eye in photography is not limited to just kids, I am able to photograph pretty much anything, sans sports.

I am a self taught photographer and eager to take on any challenging assignments. I used to browse National Geographic magazines forever when I was a little girl, dreaming that I was there and taking those amazing photos. My desire to be a great photographer never waned, even when I started college and majored in Psychology at Rochester Institute of Technology. I minored in Photojournalism and those classes were my favorites. I ended up graduating with a Masters in Secondary Education and currently am an English teacher. I am lucky enough to teach a class I enjoy immensely, Visual Journalism.

I am a mother of 3 boys and they are the main reason why I dove into my photography business. Without them, I would only have my husband to practice on- bless his heart, but it would have been a test of his patience.  I started loving the concept of showing emotions in children other than posed ones. As my confidence and experience increased, I found myself traveling down different genres of photography and love that there is no limit in that field.

The best part about me as a photographer is, I think about the perfect shot before even meeting you. I always want a winning shot for every client I meet. I desire to have a legacy through my photos therefore, with that mindset, I am determined to do my best. Another fun fact about myself is I am Deaf and use American Sign Language as my native language. My being deaf actually gives me the advantage to have a better eye when taking photos. I am not distracted by noises and am more attuned to body languages. Hence, my subjects’ personalities are genuinely portrayed in their photos and real moments in between the nothing are captured. Finally, my clients are like family to me, it is a personal experience when I am invited to photograph your special family or moments in your lives.

I am currently based in Livermore, CA. However, I am open to traveling.
